A historical residence built between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in the historic centre of Noto with fine finishes and materials. The mother of Prince Corrado Nicolaci di Villadorata chose the palazzo as her personal residence. The reception hall, where the princess received her guests, with its frescoes on the ceiling, the tapestry and the original wallpaper seems to take us back in time.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY
The surface area of approximately 700 square metres is spread over several levels: the ground floor housed the rooms reserved for servants and household chores and still has the old wood-burning kitchen; the first floor, which was the princess’s residence, is characterised by high ceilings with stuccoes and barrel vaults, an antique marble fireplace, decorated walls and floors in original handmade Vietri majolica.
DESCRIPTION
Both the ground floor and the first floor have several balconies overlooking the street and the internal courtyard. The large entrance hall, also with a barrel vault, can accommodate two cars and another can be found in the internal mezzanine garage. In the basement we find a cellar. There is an Italian-style garden with some palm trees. Over time the building has undergone some modifications and several restorations that have maintained the style and character of the structure.
NEARBY
The residence is 87 km from Catania’s Fontanarossa airport and 7 km from the beaches of Lido di Noto.
